I'm very worried about Zim at this point. I watched a couple of his at bats on Sunday and he looks exactly the same. Sets up way off the plate. Can't reach anything on the outer half and hits everything into the ground. He looks done to me. Most likely I'm wrong, but it wasn't pretty Sunday.Jaynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9207681.post-84990487119795048872017-03-14T11:13:40.929-07:002017-03-14T11:13:40.929-07:00Is it too early for the Tebow has more hits than Z...Is it too early for the Tebow has more hits than Zimm jokes?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12599491633554776280noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9207681.post-74263434768742995252017-03-14T10:44:37.777-07:002017-03-14T10:44:37.777-07:00Zimm is now ohfersixteen.

We want to be a WS caliber team and we think you give us that over Lobaton."

Dunno if he takes it well, but still I think there's a way for the team to keep him and it not be a snubBjd1207https://www.blogger.com/profile/08595153543505790679noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9207681.post-1111170887704544782017-03-14T05:48:37.620-07:002017-03-14T05:48:37.620-07:00Chas - he'll clear but they won't get him....Chas - he'll clear but they won't get him.

JE34 - Yes if Weiters is healthy, no if he gets injured. It's a gamble but the Nats have a budget.

Jay - Well, what Boz said is that it was always the plan to let him go. It was letting him go now that was the service to him. Gives him time to catch on with other team and work with their players. The other option for the Nats would be holding on to Norris until the very end of Spring (in case of injury) and then cutting him right before the big payday would kick in. Which is still a nice thing, but not the same thing that I think you are getting atHarperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07738813756060133236noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9207681.post-86503379996153445912017-03-13T16:05:57.783-07:002017-03-13T16:05:57.783-07:00I think they let Norris go bc the front office fel...I think they let Norris go bc the front office felt it was the right thing to do. Boswell said the same in his chat today. I think Rizzo feels that Norris is starter quality and should have the chance to find an opportunity to find that. It's a novel concept for some Washington teams - treat other people like you would like to be treated.Jaynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9207681.post-32792568087758743512017-03-13T11:05:10.953-07:002017-03-13T11:05:10.953-07:00Is Lobaton+$3M worth more than Norris-$3M? I guess they didn't want to pay for possible upside. Seems nutty to choose Lobaton to me.JE34noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9207681.post-21741943363280524132017-03-13T08:18:01.720-07:002017-03-13T08:18:01.720-07:00I am hopeful Norris clears waivers and they keep h...I am hopeful Norris clears waivers and they keep him. I think it's "penny-wise, pound-foolish" if they save a few million and have nothing but soft-hitting Loby and unproven Sevy as back-ups.

Zim is still the biggest question mark for the lineup. He's not giving us any good answers and Lind/CRob are not helping with the comfort level at 1B. Rest of the lineup seems like it could be very good.Chas Rhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00306056671418831755noreply@blogger.com
