While the #1 pick is out of reach and #2 is likely the same, the Nats do have a puncher's chance (that puncher being Glass Joe) of getting the #3 pick in next years draft.
Considering our remaining schedule (3 against the redhot Astros, the Braves looking to make the playoffs, the Phillies looking to hold off the Braves, and then 3 against the resurgent Mets, we could end up losing 9 of 12 and very well end up with #3 overall.
